The signing of the United States Constitution is celebrated across the nation every year in our nation’s schools on Sept. 17.

In observance of Constitution Day, the Lawyers in the Classroom/Judges in the Classroom program organizes in-school presentations by professional volunteers statewide. Houma attorneys Damon J. Baldone, Charles C. Bourque Jr., Jackie Dove Broussard, C. Berwick Duval II, Misael “Mike” A. Jimenez Jr. and Tanner D. Magee responded to the call for volunteers and made outstanding Constitution Day presentations.

Schools that participated were Mulberry Elementary and Bayou Blue Middle School.

The Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education (LCLCE) partners with the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana District Judges Association to bring volunteer lawyers, judges, legislators and educators together to deliver exciting, interactive law-related presentations to Louisiana schools through the Lawyers in the Classroom/Judges in the Classroom programs.
