Imelda Duplantis Pellegrin, 91, a resident of Chauvin, La., died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Mrs. Pellegrin was a member of St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, past member of the parish council and active in the Terrebonne Association for the Mentaly Ill. She is credited for naming the Laginappe on the Bayou Fair. She is survived by her children, Myron Jr. (Bonnie), Mary, Molly, Clyde, Lorraine (Randy), Douglas (Jennifer) and Sophie (Clark); brother, Melvin (Norma) Duplantis Sr.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Burial is at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
