Irvin Joseph Pitre, 79, lost his battle with cancer Oct. 4, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Irvin was a native of Louisiana who loved the outdoor life and being an avid fisherman. He was proud to have served as Private First Class in the National Guard, Company “C” 156th Infantry during the Korean War. Irvin was a loving man who was most proud of his family.


He leaves behind and will be dearly missed by his wife, Mazie Naquin Pitre; his children, Barry Joseph Pitre, Dean Mark Pitre and Lisa Ann Pitre-Hauck. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and by his three siblings, Shirley Deroche, Earline Liner and Odelo Pitre Jr.
