Grand Caillou native takes fisheries post

J Michael Rogers, 68, a resident of Houma, La., died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
A member of Christ Baptist Church, Mr. Rogers retired from the oilfield industry. He served two tours in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nellie Rogers; daughter, Shannon Rogers; one stepdaughter; three stepsons; 13 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dolores Sanders and Pauline Mclemore. (Samart)
