James Charles “Chuck” Autin Jr., 61, a lifelong resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 6, 2015, after a brief illness.

Mr. Autin worked many years in the food industry with his parents. He owned Autin’s Quality Sewerage System.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Raleigh. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a great cook.


He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lorre Bourgeois Autin; son James (Kristen Selby) Autin III; daughter, Tiffany (Bryan) Waters; six grandchildren; sisters, Gretchen (Jimmy)

Yancey, Holly (Joe) Vinson; and brothers, Daniel and Gibson Autin, III.
