James “Jimmy” “Boogaloo” Ernest St.
John, 75, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.
Mr. St. John played football for St. Francis de Sales Boys School and is the only person to letter in football for five consecutive years. He continued his football career at Southwestern Louisiana Institute of Liberal and Technical Learning, which is today known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He worked in the oilfield in many capacities until he retired.
Mr. St. John is survived by his children, Cindy Tingle, Patty Savoie, Jamie Lewallen and David St. John; sisters, Gloria King and Debbie St. John; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
