John “Johnny” Clinton Carroll Jr., 75, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Marrero, La., died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015.

Mr. Carroll was a parishioner of St. Matthew Episcopal Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and was actively involved in his family’s lives. He was dedicated to his engineering profession in the oil and gas industry and traveled the world. He taught his cooking, hunting and mechanical skills to others.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Carroll; daughter, Vickie (Dave) Brown; sons, John and Patrick Carroll; daughter-in-law, Brenda T. Hofstetter; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Andree’ M. (Royal) Richoux.


Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery (Chauvin Funeral Home.)
