John Sproul Dean, 84, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:56 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
Mr. Dean was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, duck hunting and spending time at his camp in Dularge.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jane Rose Porche Dean; sons, Carley (Mary), Randy (Terri) and Michael (Jill) Dean; daughter, Mary (Craig) Crochet; brother, Burt Porche; sister, Carmen Use; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
