John “J.P.” Joseph Picou, 75, a native of Houma and resident of Montegut, died on December 11, 2017.
Mr. Picou is survived by his wife and love of his life, Thelma Rodrigue Picou; children, Rachel Picou Authement (Van Domangue), Cyrus Picou (Vivian), Cathy Cantrelle (Buddy), Randy Picou (April), Sally Picou (Craig Blanchard), Sara Mikkelsen (Edwin), Reva Folse (Jamie); his loving sister, Winnie Thibodeaux; 18 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his lifelong friend, Olan Trahan.
He was an Air Force Veteran, long time member of the Church of Christ, and loved preaching the word of God.
