Joseph Luke Chaisson Jr., 79, a native of Montegut and resident of Thibodaux, passed away on February 12, 2019.
He is survived by his two sons, Chad Chaisson (Mendy Hill Chaisson) and Brad Chaisson (Michelle Holloway Chaisson); sisters, Verla Chaisson Hotard (Irvin Hotard), Dorothy “Dot” Chaisson, and Brenda Chaisson Robichaux; grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, and Gabrielle Chaisson; sister-in-law, Joy Sanders Chaisson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his former spouse, Terri Savoie.
He was a retired mechanic with Freeport McMoRan who loved old cars, demonstrated by his membership with the Weekend Cruisers Car Club. He served in the U.S. Army as an aircraft mechanic in Germany from 1959-1962.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice or any veteran’s organization.
