January 27, 2016Joyce Ledet Ougel, 87, a native and resident of Larose, La., died on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.
Mrs. Ougel was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and a retired Post Master of the Larose Post Office. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved spending time with her family-
She is survived by her children, Johnny (Carolyn), Karen Knight, Sharon Ougel and Vicki (Anthony) Chaisson; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Neil, Jack and Allen Ledet; and sisters Dorina Columbel, Lee Guidroz, Ruby Lefort, Trudy Bourg and Evelyn Tyler.
