Judy Portier Crochet slipped away into the loving arms of Our Father on December 19, 2018.

Judy was born in New Orleans on July 17, 1939, and was raised in Bourg. She attended Terrebonne High School and married Joseph (Junior) Crochet in 1957. They built their life together in Montegut and raised three beautiful children there. After her children were grown Judy worked as an in-home nanny caring for young children for working parents. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut her entire life.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Roxanne Claire Ledet and husband, Barry of Montegut; sisters, Joyce Sciortino of Cuming, Georgia; Jo-Anne Portier Fanguy and husband, Hugh Paul of Houma; sister-in-law, Georgia Portier of Hammond; grandchildren, Jennifer Neal and husband, Kyle, and Monique Hebert of Montegut; great-grandchildren, Austin and Abbie Neal, all of whom she adored, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also left behind remembering the many laughs and good times they had together is her good friend and neighbor Yvonne Thibodaux. Her smile and contagious laugh will be missed by those of us she left behind, may she rest in peace for all eternity.
