Kenneth J. Authement, 67, a native of Chauvin and resident of Schriever, died on December 24, 2017.


Mr. Authement is survived by his children, Kendall Authement (Heidi), and Kimberly Authement; mother, Lorita Bourg Authement; brothers, Morgan Authement Jr.; sisters, Bertha Deroche Clement and Lisa Lazo; grandchildren, Gabrielle Authement, Madison Brien, Olivia Authement, Drew Brien, and Adalyn Brien.

He was best known as the UPS man in downtown Houma in the 1980’s. He later worked in the oilfield and retired from Tetra Technologies 7 years ago. His favorite career was being a Houma police officer from 1972-1975. His favorite hobbies were, being with his family and grandchildren, watching the Saints and L.S.U. every weekend.

The family would like to thank Dr. Craig Wade, Vanessa Allen, Allison Plaisance, Linda Joseph, and Deacon Jimmy Brunet for their care and compassion.
