There will be so much to do, see, play, and eat at the La Bonne Terre Festival Maria Immacolata Church released a press release that explains, “proceeds from La Bonne Terre Festival will benefit Maria Immacolata Catholic Church and our existing school, which is located on Estate Drive. It is our dream to one day build a new $16 million dollar state of the art school facility on our church grounds. This will enable us to offer our community some of the best prek-3 through 7th grade information in our area.”

“The school and the church are located on two separate properties which is why we are wanting to build a new school-to reconnect the parish and the school.” shared Chad Adams of Maria Immacolata. While some of the proceeds will go to the church’s dream school. Adams said it is still very important to the church and school to keep their current school campus thriving and that they will not begin to build the new school until it is 100% paid for. The current school and the building it is held in are both over 50 years old. With about 200 students pre-k through seventh grade, Maria Immacolata offers the Houma area another great option when it comes to education.

The La Bonne Terre Festival is packed full of family friendly fun times There will be carnival rides provided by Lowery Amusement. Including eight different rides for both kids and adults. Along with the rides, games, and festival food, there is an awesome line up of live music set to perform during the day. The bands slated to pre-form are Jag and the Good Ola Boys, Reauxshambo. The Gordon Bradberry Band, and Blue Eyed Soul Revue. There will also be a raffle for a $9000 Disney vacation. A silent auction will take place with items like a signed Anthony Davis Pelicans Jersey, a premier parking spot at Maria Immacolata Church, as well as some special items made by the students of the school. Adams shared that this festival is not one to be missed, expressing that he is excited for “the bands that we have, we will have great entertainment.
