Larry was founder of Matherne and Matherne Drafting Services Inc. in 1975, with his brother Lance and later brother Mark. He earned his notary certificate in 1987. His greatest joy was his children, grand and great-grandchildren. He was a very proud dad and papa. He was well-known by his family and friends for his sense of humor (he always said he excelled in sarcasm). He later developed his love for woodworking and made many crafts and furniture for friends and family. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
