Larry Porche Sr., 86, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Houma.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Daisy Boudreaux Porche; son, Larry Porche Jr. and wife, Catina LeBouef Porche; daughters, Monica Vedros, and Melissa Hardeman and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin, Phillip, and Julie Vedros, Gina Vedros Boquet, Hunter Porche, Margaret and Zachary Hardeman; great-grandchildren, Willa Porche, Jackson Vedros, and Silas Boquet; and brother, Curtis Porche.


Larry was blessed with a beautiful family. Larry was a great story teller, avid fisherman, and enjoyed visiting his daughter in Arkansas. He volunteered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years. He also volunteered many years with the emergency relief program at Holy Rosary and was proud to be part of the “H Team” who provided meals for the homeless. Larry was employed with Texaco and retired with 36 years of service. Larry proudly served our country in the Korean War.
