Lee Roy Hayes, 74, a native of Honduras and resident of Schriever, died on October 30,2017.
Mr. Hayes served in the Coast Guard and Air Force for 20 years. He was dedicated to education whether in the classroom or in life. He was a runner with the New Orleans Track Club and participated in numerous marathons.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Sarran Hayes; two sons, Arthur “Mouche” Lee Hayes Forsyth (Christopher) and Gregory “Boni” Sebastian Hayes (Melanie); two daughters, Joan Hayes Peperone (Tony) and Stacey Hayes DeJesus; four grandchildren, Lilah, Samantha, Hailey, and Anthony; two brothers, Fred and James Hayes; and sister, Cheryl “Tia” Hayes.
