Enjoy a homemade glass of delicious lemonade as local children learn about own-Ling their own businesses this Saturday during Lemonade Day.
Lemonade Day Louisiana is a free, statewide educational initiative designed to teach children how to start, own and operate their own operate business. It is a fun, entrepreneurial and experiential learning program for all children, ages 4-18. More than 17,000 youth across Louisiana are expected to participate in the program.
The community is invited to support these young entrepreneurs by attending these events and buying lemonade in an effort to help the kids get firsthand experience.
The Houma Lemonade Day event will take place Saturday, May 5 from 9 am to noon at the Houma Air-base Pavilion, 102 Clendenning Road, Houma. This event is in conjunction with the 2nd annual Children’s Water Safety Awareness Family Pun Day.
In Thibodaux, the “lemonders” will be set up at the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fairgrounds from &30-11 am This event coincides with the end of the fair’s 5K race. Guests can enter the grounds near Parish Road.
At each event, the children can enter far a chance to win Best Tasting Lemonade, Meet Creative Stand, and Best Salesmanship Frizes will be awarded to the first-place winners.
Local Lemonade Day events are sponsored by Synergy Bank, Raising Canes, Rouses Markets, Terrebonne Parish Library, Children’s Water Safety Awareness, and the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair.
