Lenora Guidry, 93, was born May 28, 1924 in Weeks Island, a former resident of Houma and resident of Lafayette, passed away on April 26, 2018.
She is survived by her two daughters – Paulette G. Landry and husband Steve, Pamela G. Rhodes and husband Peter; sister – Carolyn K. Hebert; three granddaughters – Amy L. Thomas, Jennifer R. Romero, Jodi R. Dean; two grandsons – Jason Landry, Jacob Rhodes; 12 great-grandchildren.
Lenora was a 1942 Terrebonne High School graduate. She had a career in bookkeeping until she retired. In the early years of TARC, she served several years on the board.
Lenora loved being with her family and her Suthon Avenue neighborhood friends. As her hobbies, she loved to cook, bake, and sew. She felt one of her most moving accomplishments was going through the RCIA process and becoming a Catholic in April of 1987.
The family would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to all the staff at The Carpenter House for their compassionate and comforting care during our mother’s last days.
