DEAR EDITOR,

I wanted to write this letter today to personally and humbly thank your publication for the Casey’s Corner column, which ran a few weeks ago about the contributions of Billy Rebstock at South Lafourche High School.

Billy is one of a kind and is one of the nicest people that anyone could ever meet in their life.

I think that your newspaper’s ability to find those unsung heroes in the community and bring them to light are a shining example of why you all are the best newspaper in town.

I’ve known Billly for a long time. I’ve supported South Lafourche athletics for many years in the past. Now, I live in Mississippi and just watch everything happen from afar.

But as the column stated, there is no one in the community who cares more nor has more passion about that school or the community than Billy does. He has a rich passion for the Tarpons that is pure and with nothing but good intentions.

I think it is excellent that that passion was brought to light and I, again, want to thank you for doing so.

Keep up the great work! I really enjoy reading every week.

EDITOR’S NOTE:

Timmy,

I want to thank you for the kind note. Since writing that piece, we’ve gotten nothing but positive response from people who have associated with Billy.

The stories and all of the kind-spirited messages about him have been incredibly fun to receive. Be blessed!
