LETTER: TIME FOR COUNCIL TO GET RIGHT

Dear Editor.

Thank you for your coverage in the recent happenings in Lafourche Parish Politics.

I want to say that I think the issue at hand is shameful, embarrassing and it’s time that members of our parish government realize that they serve us, the people of this area, and not themselves.

I do not care about the parish president’s salary. I do not care about the averages and the ratio and all of the things they’re using to decide what he is paid

What I care about is the fact that time is being spent out of that man and that council’s day to figure those petty things out while other issues are unresolved in the parish.

It’s embarrassing. We need better.
