Lois Lacoste Lovell, 80, a longtime resident of Dularge, died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 Mrs. Lovell is survived by her sons, Clayton Lovell and wife Linda, Lance Lovell and wife Allison; daughters, Lanun Theriot and husband Britt, Emeline Billiot and husband Joe, Nina Verdin and husband Elton, Althea “FayFay” Verret and husband Curtis, Lydia Lodrigue and husband Mack, Ellery Karpenski and husband Daryl; son-in-law, Preston Verret; forty-four grandchildren; one hundred and four great-grandchildren, one on the way, and eleven great-great grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Himel, Gertrude DeHart, Eula Mae Lirette, Ray Lacoste Jr. and wife Mazel, Pearly Mae Girior and husband L.J., Melvin Lacoste and wife Gwen, Linda Lirette and husband Al, Ravin Lacoste and wife Melissa, and Sharon Verdin and husband Daniel.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. Lois married the love of her life Atlas on May 10, 1953. They were blessed with a beautiful family; 13 children, 44 grandchildren, 104 great and 11 great-great grandchildren. Lois worked very hard in her life to provide for her family. She was very talented as a mother, great cook, enjoyed family gatherings, and taking an annual trip with her daughters and granddaughters to Mississippi. Her specialty was baking bread and pies. Lois was fun, loving, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, hard-working beautiful lady. She trusted her life in the Lord and served him with all her heart. Lois has been reunited with her family in Heaven and rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
