The Cajun Music Preservation Society is bringing something a little different to Thibodaux Hosted at Gina’s at the Legion, an old favorite at a new location on St Mary Street Louisiana Swamp Stomp Music Series aims to assist the Cajun Music Preservation Society in continuing their mission, which is to promote, preserve and enhance the awareness and appreciation of traditional Cajun music within the southeast region of Louisiana.
The July 7th event welcomed The Malfecteurs Cajun band, featuring Jimmy Breaux. Daniel Coolik. Tysman Charpentier and Ryan Brunei This family-friendly event had Cajun music lovers of all ages tapping their feet and two-stepping their way into the night at this dance hall style concert. Even when a summer storm knocked the power out. the band played on.
The next event in the Music Series will be August 18, 2018.
