Lucy May Elliott, age 94, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at The Oaks Nursing Home. She was a native of Donner, Louisiana, and longtime resident of Long Beach, Mississippi. Lucy returned home after hurricane Katrina, and spent her last days with her family.


Lucy is survived by her sisters, The rasa Landry and Julie Barnes; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy was loving and caring, especially to her nieces and nephews. Lucy was very talented, she played the harmonica very very well and would play in the Minstrel Show in Now Orleans. She worked at Higgins Boat and she was a ship fitter during WWIL Lucy was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the casinos. Lucy loves this world behind and is blessed to be in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank The Oaks Nursing Home for their care and compassion, Handel Hospice and Dr. Ray Cinnater for their medical expertise and comfort.
