Defining moment of career so far:
As a sophomore, Luke was one of South Lafourche’s top reserves. In a couple games, he came off the bench and provided the Tarpons with some much-needed offense. Luke is also a prolific defender known to often take charges throughout games.
Hoping to prove that …:
He’s capable of completing an entire season injury free. Luke took a charge and suffered a severe injury during last season, which sidelined him for several weeks.
Strengths?
Luke has a very high basketball IQ while on the floor. He is also one of the area’s most accurate long-range shooters, possessing a sharp, consistent stroke that allows him to stretch defenses.
Credentials:
Don’t leave Luke Chiasson open from behind the 3-point line. If you do, he’s likely going to make you pay in a big, big way. Chiasson is a junior combo player for South Lafourche – a prolific shooter who also helps the Tarpons with his defensive versatility. On the wing, Chiasson has a green light to shoot the ball, possessing a strong shot from distance. Defensively, Chiasson showcases strong basketball IQ by routinely sacrificing his body to take charges.
