Malcolm Joseph Poiencot, 84, a native of Dularge and resident of Gray, La., died at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

Mr. Poiencot was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. He loved raising cattle and was an original founding member of Dularge Fire Department, Member of K.C. Council 8779 Third Degree, A member of Masonic Unity Lodge 267 F. & A.M. He was a former proprietor of Mac’s Tackle Shop.


Mr. Poiencot is survived by his sons, Keith (Sherilyn), Brian (Annette) and Malcolm (Dana) Poiencot; daughters, Lizbeth (John “Burt”) McElroy and Donna (Robert) Blanchard; brothers, Russell (Vita) and Aloysius (Betty) Poiencot; sister-in-law, Maxine F. Poiencot; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Burial is at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin Funeral Home)
