Marlene Richard Authement, 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
Mrs. Authement was a parishioner of St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church. She started different boutique clothing companies with her husband, including Norman’s Tuxedos. She was a member of the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild and was also an avid gardener.
She is survived by her children, Sue (Sammy) Pizzolato, Patti (Lynn) Bent, Robin (Jimmy) Lirette, Stephanie (Ricky) Rogers, David and Staci Authement and Martha Gilley; sisters, Dot Redmond and Cookie Golding; brothers, Barry and Matt Richard; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
