Maxine Bertha Burns, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
Mrs. Burns was a member of the Red Hats in Pass Christian, Miss., and Houma. She was an avid gardener and a volunteer at the Fst Baptist Pre-School of Houma. She also worked many years at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Scooter) Burns III; daughter: Julie (Tom) Calhoun; brother, Joseph (Mary) Margavio; and three grandchildren.
