‘I come from a family of eight kids, but our mom loved and took care of us all equally.’

AGE: 20

TOWN: Houma

FAMILY: The Leslie gang from Houma.

PROFESSION: I am a college basketball player for Cal State Fullerton.

HOBBIES: Working out, hanging with my people and obviously playing basketball.

WHAT IS A TALENT YOU HAVE FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT: I am really good at rapping. OK, well maybe I’m not THAT good at it, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.

IF YOU HAD TO SPEND A YEAR ON A DESERTED ISLAND, WHAT ONE THING WOULD YOU TAKE ALONG: Assuming I already am dressed when I go, I’d bring a basketball.

YOU’RE A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR LOTTERY WINNER. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO: Take care of my momma and my family and then doing something to help the kids in Houma out so that they don’t have to deal with the haters who try and limit their opportunities.

WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL: My mom. I come from a family of eight kids, but our mom loved and took care of us all equally.

IF YOU WERE A SUPERHERO, WHO WOULD YOU BE AND WHAT WOULD YOUR SUPER POWER BE: I would be Captain Philly Moves, and my super power would be to be able to be in more than one place at one time. For instance, if I can be at practice while also doing my homework, man, life would be so much better.

TV SHOW GUILTY PLEASURE: The Game.’

WHAT’S ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND: Some sunglasses, my wallet, sticks of gum and some multivitamins that I take when I wake up.

HOW DO YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU: I think they would say that I’m fun to be around, and am always up to making people laugh. I avoid negativity at all costs and do whatever makes me happy.

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM ADVENTURE: Going to Las Vegas with all of my brothers, sisters and closest family.

I WISH I COULD DO BETTER: Hear. I’m legally deaf in one ear, and have been my whole life.

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM JOB: My dream job is and has always been

to become a professional basketball player. I’m pretty close to that goal now, and I need a few more good seasons of college ball to get on that level, but I trust God and believe that that’s in the plan for me and my life.

AS A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?:

The same thing – a professional basketball player. Right now, I am chasing the dream that I have always chased.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST GIFT? The best gift I ever got isn’t even something that was given to me by anyone. The best gift in my life is the huge family that I’ve been blessed with.
