I think I could live without a lot of “things” – except music.

AGE: 34

TOWN: Raceland

FAMILY: Jill (wife) and Norah Jane (beautiful 10-week old daughter)

PROFESSION: I am the Public Information Officer for the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.

HOBBIES: I enjoy running, gardening and landscaping.

WHAT IS A TALENT YOU HAVE FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT: Cooking. I can actually cook a number of Japanese dishes, including hibachi and sushi.

IF YOU HAD TO SPEND A YEAR ON A DESERTED ISLAND, WHAT ONE THING WOULD YOU TAKE ALONG:

Something to play music on -1 guess it would have to be a hand-crank radio of some sort. I think I could live without a lot of “things” – except music.

YOU’RE A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR LOTTERY WINNER. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO: I guess like everyone else, my wife and I have discussed this. Despite never actually playing the lottery, I can’t imagine that I would change much, because I love life the way it is. I might just have a few more “things,” but we would also be very generous in giving to the community.

WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL:

Jesus Christ is the best role model. If I had to pick an actual living person, I’d have to say my parents – especially how they were selfless and sacrificed everything for their children and were always involved in our lives.

IF YOU WERE A SUPERHERO, WHO WOULD YOU BE AND WHATWOULD YOUR SUPER POWER

BE: I’ve always been a fan of Batman, but since he doesn’t have any true “super” powers, I’d have to say the next best thing would be The Flash and his super speed.

TV SHOW GUILTY PLEASURE: I’d have to say “Big Brother” and re-runs of “Friends”, thanks to my wife, but she would probably tell you that it’s “Pretty Little Liars”. I say that she MAKES me watch it, and that’s the story I’m sticking to.

PROUDEST MOMENT: The birth of my daughter.

WHAT’S ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND:

I have an iPhone charger, a lamp and a daily devotional book.

HOW DO YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU: I would think my friends describe me as a tenacious worker, easy-going (for the most part), and a slightly above average fantasy football player.

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM ADVENTURE: I’ve owned a couple of Jeep Wranglers, and so I think I would love to take a Jeep world-wide over every kind of terrain, seeing all the sites – all in a Jeep.

I WISH I COULD DO BETTER:

I’m a naturally LOUD talker, so I wish I could talk at a level that doesn’t make people ask me to use my “inside voice.”

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM JOB:

I’d have to say I’m currently already working at my dream job – serving my community by keeping them informed on important issues. The only dream job I had was as a play-by-play commentator for the NFL or college basketball. Since I’ve called Nicholls Colonels basketball games, I guess the only thing left for me to do is the NFL.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST GIFT EVER?

Other than my wife and daughter, I think I was most surprised the year I got a PS2 for Christmas. I dropped hints for months, realistically.
