Police: Suspect abuses girlfriend, exposes himself to female guard

Melvina Therese Ledet Hunter, 79, a native of Larose, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Mrs. Hunter was an active member of Christian Family Center. She volunteered at the Hope Center.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Morris Jr. (Pamela), Wayne (Suzette) and Todd (Sandy) Hunter Sr.; daughters, Ramonda (Tom) Soper, Bridget (Eddie) Hunter and Wanda (Wayne) Grabert; 24 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Barrios Cemetery in Valentine.
