Mother Mary Elizabeth of Grace, O.P., nee’ Valeria Elizabeth Dupree, 79, a native of Jennings, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
Mother Mary Elizabeth entered the Eucharistic Missionaries of St. Dominic at age 18. She was one of the first to join the newly founded Dominican cloister in Lockport.
She is survived by her brothers, John (Judy) and Peter (Sherill) Dupree; sister, Theresa Hinchee; 10 nieces; and five nephews. (Falgout)
