Norma “”Pookie”” Breaux Duplantis, 84, a lifelong native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She loved to cook and have family gatherings as well as going to the casinos.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Thaddeus “”Bud”” J. Duplantis; sons, Danny Duplantis (Rissa) and Kirk Duplantis; daughters, Darlene D. Davis, Peggy D. Leonard and Lisa D. Ellender (Mike); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest Breaux and Henry Breaux (Judy); sisters, Mary Lee B. Rhodes and Gail B. Dardar (Jerry); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
