He was a good and decent man who loved his Lord and church and was sincerely devoted to his family and friends. He was a perfectionist in every way. He was particularly proud of his love of math and often shared a story about his legendary success in his Geometry class of 1947. In his professional life, he worked for Texaco and retired after 39 years of service. He was a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales Church, a member of the St. Gregory Knights of Columbus and served in the United States Air Force. Paul loved to cook and his family and friends enjoyed the benefits of his passion, especially his treasured oyster gumbo that was served on Christmas Eve each year. He was proud of his parents for instilling in him a strong sense of integrity, hard work, responsibility and compassion for his fellow man. These attributes guided him all of his life. (Chauvin)
