Pauline “Polly” Haupt Scott, 76, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018. She is a native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and resident of Houma. LA

Polly is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Elray Scott; sons, Clark Scott and wife, Monique of Palm Harbor, Florida; and Christopher Scott and wife, Michele of Houma; daughter, Elizabeth Nelson and husband, Kevin of Crawfordville, Florida; brother, Paul Haupt of Key West, Florida; grandchildren, Wendy Scott, Wesley Scott, Meghan Scott Meidinger, Seth Scott, Jordan Scott, Bryant Scott, Andrea Scott, Shay Amill and Joshua Amill; and five great-grandchildren.

Polly retired from Terrebonne Parish Schools as a teacher after 25 years of dedicated service. She was the owner of Calico Ceramics. She served her community with a Bed and Breakfast named Chateau E Cosse. Polly dedicated her time by teaching children art and ceramics with the Terrebonne Parish Art Guild and Shady Acres Senior Center. She gave of her time and talents at St. Anthony Church as a Eucharistic Minister and the Lady’s Alter Society and served as president for two years. She gave of her singing talents by singing with the “Sweet Adelines”.


She the lives of many people in her life, both in her family and in her community. She will always be remembered for her love and talent with the school children of the parish. She will never be forgotten by anyone she met; and will be forever loved by the people and family who knew her.
