Pearl Champagne Lauret, 93, a native of Luling and resident of Houma, passed away at Sunday, July 15, 2018. 10:05 PM
Mrs. Pearl is survived by her son, Don, and wife, Mary Lynn Somme; and daughters, Deborah Somme Sarniguet, and Donna Somme Winn and husband, John; brothers, Horace Jr., Jerry, Charles, Ronald, Dave, Anthony, Patrick and Thomas Champagne; sister, Bessie Champagne; grandchildren, James Saadi, Alyson Plakidas, Michael and Sean Somme, Caroline Miller, Kirk and Nicole Bourgeois; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pearl was an account manager who loved to fish, paint, garden, and cook, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a World War II Navy veteran and served as a pharmacist’s mate. She was a parishioner of St. Francis DeSales Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to their private sitters, the caregivers at The Homestead and Haydel Memorial Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice.
