SPORTS PLAYED:

Blake Is an outstanding left-handed pitcher for a South Lafourche High School baseball team which made history this season, winning 27 games and winning their first-ever playoff games. Blake was an ace on the mound, but was also a top-flight right fielder when not patching He is a Baton Rouge Community College signee.

STATS:


Blake was 11-2 this season with an ERA just above 1. He averaged aim art one strikeout per inning. He has command of four pitches and keeps hitters off balance.

GOALS:

“To always work hard and compete as hard as I can.”


WORKING ON:

Strength, velocity and anything I can do to get better and more consistent in my mechanics.

STRENGTHS:


Location, passion, poise on the mound.

CREDENTIALS:

Few in the history of South Lafourche High School baseball have ever accomplished more on the base ball diamond than senior Blake Ougel. Ougel was the ace of a team which made school history in 2018, winning four playoff games.


Coming back from an injury. Ougel was lights out lights out, losing just two games. In those games, he allowed just three runs. Ougel won two playoff starts in the Tarpons’ run.
