NAME: Sierra Lerille
HEIGHT: 5’4”
GRADE: Junior
SCHOOL: South Lafourche High School
SPORTS PLAYED: Sierra is the starting setter for a South Lafourche High School volleyball team that made the State Quarterfinals for the first time in its history this season. She is also a contributing guard for a girls’ basketball team that is among the favorites locally to make a deep playoff push.
STATS: Sierra led the Lady Tarpons in assists this season, often pouring several dozen onto the stat sheet during matches this season. She also scored several baskets against H.L. Bourgeois in basketball this past week, her varsity career-high.
GOALS: “Keep working hard and having fun with my teammates in all of my sports. Keep making memories that will last a lifetime.”
WORKING ON: Quickness, speed, strength and conditioning.
STRENGTHS: Volleyball: Touch on the ball; awareness Basketball: Shooting, knowledge of the system
CREDENTIALS: South Lafourche High School junior Sierra Lerille is having an outstanding athletic year. Sierra helped lead South Lafourche’s volleyball team deeper into the playoffs than they’ve ever been, thanks to a solid season as a setter. In basketball, Sierra is settling into a role as one of the Lady Tarpons’ top reserve players. She is poised to enjoy a breakout season this winter and spring.
