Abigail Bouzigard is a multi-sport standout, who is already making an impact on multiple teams at the varsity level despite being just a sophomore. Abigail is a varsity outside hitter for the Tarpons volleyball team, one of the team’s top players. She is also a contributing post for a Lady Tarpons team that has aspirations of winning the state title.
STRENGTHS:
Abigail is long and lanky, but is not clumsy for her size. She has good body control, and is powerful, which allows for kills and blocks in volleyball. In basketball, she uses her size well for rebounds but has a soft touch around the basket, which allows for putbacks and free throws.
GOALS FOR THE SEASON:
“We want to win as many playoff games as possible. For me, I want to keep working hard and keep getting better and better every time I take the floor.”
WHAT DOES HER COACH SAY?
“Abigail is a really good kid, and she’s really stepped up for our team. We’ve had a lot of injuries this year, and it really increased her playing time. But she’s not shied away from that challenge, and she’s been a great player for us.”
CREDENTIALS:
This is one of the first times that we mention Abigail Bouzigard in our sports section. But it surely won’t be the last. Abigail is a sophomore standout athlete at South Lafourche, who is a contributing member of the Lady Tarpons volleyball and basketball teams. Off the floor, Abigail is a quality student, who says she enjoys listening to music and hanging out with her friends.
