Louis is a multi-time District 7-4A Defensive MVP for South Terrebonne. He is a dynamic, run-stuffing defensive lineman for the Gators. He also plays offensively, and is a fullback. Signature moment:

There have been many. Blanchard has several games with 10 or more tackles – a feat that’s virtually unheard of for a player at the defensive tackle position.

Something many people don’t know?

Louis is related to local boxer and fight promoter Justin Verdin.

Strengths?

Blanchard takes up so much near the line of scrimmage, which makes running at him virtually impossible. But he parlays that size with strength and elite athleticism, which makes him very difficult for anyone in the area to block.

What does his coach say?

“Louis is a very, very good football player. And he’s been one of our top guys from the first day that he’s been here. He’s special. That’s really all anyone can say about him.”

-Gators coach Richard Curlin

Credentials:

South Terrebonne standout lineman Louis Blanchard is one of the best defensive linemen that this area has seen in a long, long time. With a 6-foot, 3-inch frame and a massive 274-pound body, Louis is a multi-time District MVP – a guy that opposing coaches tout is impossible to block. When out of high school, Blanchard hopes to continue his collegiate career. He has offers from several colleges around the Southeast.
