Sports played: Sky is one of the captains for the Lady Patriots’ women’s basketball team. She is also a member of the school’s volleyball team.
Best thing about basketball? For me, it’s that it brings all of my family and friends together to have a good time and watch me doing what I love to do.
Favorite Food: Pizza
Favorite Musician: Nicki Minaj
Favorite athlete: My favorite athlete is LeBron James, of the Cleveland Cavs.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to go to college and major in occupational therapy.
Best sporting achievement: Helping lead Ellender to the District 7-4A Championship was big this past year. I also enjoyed all of the playoff runs we had with our team.
2015-16 stats: 9.4 points per game.
Credentials: Sky Jasper is one heck of a women’s basketball player. A multi-year standout at talent-rich Ellender Memorial High School, Jasper was the team’s co-captain in 2015-16, helping to lead the Lady Patriots to the District Championship. When away from the floor, Jasper is a top-notch student who has aspirations of chasing occupational therapy as an adult. Jasper said the best thing about being an Ellender Patriot is how rowdy and wild the school’s fans get in games.
