SPORTS PLAYED: Cassidy is one of the top players on the Nicholls State University women’s basketball team. She is not just one of the top Colonels. She is also one of the top players in the entire Southland Conference, owning impressive marks in several statistical categories both offensively and defensively.
STATS: Cassidy is a monster. She leads Nicholls in scoring, rebounding, blocks and steals. She is second in assists and trails by just four assists. She also leads the team in minutes per game, playing 37.6 per contest. Cassidy shoots 87 percent from the free throw line and 43 percent from the field.
GOALS: “To continue getting better and trying to lead our team in the postseason with the right amount of momentum.”
WORKING ON: Quickness, shooting ability and every facet of my game.
STRENGTHS: Ability to do just about anything on the floor.
CREDENTIALS: Nicholls State University junior guard/forward Cassidy Barrios is an excellent player. The Vandebilt Catholic graduate averages 15.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game easily team highs for a Colonels team that is 6-6 in the Southland Conference. Cassidy is also a diverse scorer, owning the ability to score both inside and out for her team.
