Raymond Joseph Melancon, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Mr. Melancon was a former member of the Lafourche Parish Police jury; Lafourche Parish Cattleman’s Association; Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society; Levee District and Lafourche Parish Drainage District No. 1. He also was the co-owner of the South Lafourche Crawfish Farm and Highland Subdivision.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lefort Melancon; son, Tommy (Ann) Melancon; daughters, Carla Melancon and Lorna (Tony) Eymard; brothers, Chester and Loyman Melancon; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Cut Off.
