Dear Editor,

The MLK holiday has ascended into a celebration of political bullying, in my opinion.

Mr. Jerome Boykin spoke about opposing President Gordon Dove and asked if any hi black political officer holders preaent would raise their hands if they intended to vote for Gordon Dove.

Have we been paying attention to Washington? If a being run by a white man who bullies other men. This should give us a reason to maybe not go down that same path with our local politics. What about listening to the candidates and asking Questions and then making up our own minds?

I’ll put my head on a chopping block that all these “Negroes” in Terrebonne Parish are able to do that.

Remember when white falls thought that all black folks knew each other?

Do we now have a Negro trying to tell us how to vote?

What a next?

Sincerely one of those Negroes

Mike Thomas, Houma, La.
