DEAR EDITOR,
I am writing today for a couple of reasons.
First. I want to thank you. your staff and your publication for covering the Thibodaux High School boys’ basketball team’s run throughout the state Playoffs.
Your coverage vas excellent and the images you all have captured will stay with those boys for the rest of their lives.
It is rare today to see a community rally around a group of young people who are doing positive things and I thank you – sincerely – from the bottom of my heart for giving those boys the spotlight that they deserve.
I would like to thank Mr. Casey Gisclair for covering the games live on radio, giving real-time access to older folks in the community (such as myself) who are unable to travel with the team.
Your words of praise for the Tigers an? uplifting and your passion shines through in your work.
God has blessed you with amazing talent, young man, and 1 wish you nothing but the best in your career.
And lastly. I want to thank those boys for providing the community with positive light in the past several months and now in winning the championship.
You are an amazing team and have had an amazing season.
You have inspired our community and have made us all proud.
Your Futures are all bright-on and off the floor!
