Regina Kaye Parfait O’Connell, 42, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died on Saturday, August 27, 2016.


Mrs. O’Connell was devoted to praising the lord through song, and she was involved in many music ministries. She was the music and worship leader at Lord’s House of Refuge in Dulac. An alum of both Northwestern State University and Nicholls State University, she was in the Northwestern Wind Symphony, Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band, and both Northwestern’s and Nicholls’ orchestras and choirs.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Andrew O’Connell; son, Alexander Michael O’Connell; parents, Lenwood and Carol Parfait; sisters, Casondra Parfait and Monica (Sterling) Milstead; brothers, Lenwood Jr. and Aaron Parfait; grandmother, Lillian Naquin Pierre; and nieces and nephews.

Burial is at Holy Family Cemetery in Dulac.
