Popular Houma restaurant ravaged by flames

Rita P. Blanchard, 84, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
Mrs. Blanchard enjoyed sewing, fishing, going to craft shows, trawling with her husband and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Walton “Toto” Blanchard Sr.; sons, Walton Jr. (Jade) and Keeland (Theresa) Blanchard; daughters, Thistle (Donald) Callais, Regina Blanchard, (Kelly (John) Wunstell; brothers, Ecland Jr., Claude Sr. and Leo Pitre; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off.
