Local social workers celebrated for service

Robert “Bobby” Allan Yelverton, 67, a native of Natchez, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
Mr. Yelverton served in the United States Air Force. He worked in the oil and gas industry and loved deer hunting and discovering new places.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Ventura Yelverton; daughter, Cally (James) Trosclair; son, Benjamin Yelverton; mother, Irene Meadows; brother, David Yelverton; sister, Julia (Enis) White; and three grandchildren.
Burial is at a later date.
