Roy P. Rodrigue Sr., 83, a native of Chackbay, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died on May 13, 2017.
Mr. Rodrigue was a teacher with the Lafourche Parish School District for more than 30 years. He worked for the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department after that. He served in the United States Army Reserve. He was a member of the West Thibodaux Fire Company and St. Genevieve Catholic Church. He was a die-hard LSU, Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Azelie “Lou” Rodrigue; daughters, Ramonda (Alvin) Dupre, Maxine (Jerald) Morvant, Melinda (Keith) LeBlanc, Melissa (Wade) Boudreaux, Maria (Dale) Arcenaux and Joy (Melvin) Aizen; son, Roy Rodrigue Jr.; half-brother, Edward Legendre; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Interment is at St.
Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
