Ruben “COON” Reynolds Cunningham, 91, a native and resident of Houma passed away Saturday Dec. 22, 2018 at 2:47 a.m.
Mr. Ruben is survived by his son, Robert and wife Tina Cunningham; and daughters, Ruby Cunningham and Christine Roddy; brother, Jerry J. Cunningham; and grandchildren, Curtis and Mitchell Malbrough, Kim M. LaJaunie, Steven Cunningham, Bridgette Underdonk, Elizabeth and Christopher Roddy, Erika Walker, Brandy Williams and Shawn Heck; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ruben was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose family and friends were considered to be of great importance. He loved all unconditionally. He enjoyed woodworking, craft making, making knives and doing electrical work.
Mr. Ruben was a pile driver, retiring from Texaco after 31 years of service. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3700 and a WWII veteran in the U.S. Air Force.
